No Signal / TV Static
The no signal prank shows the classic TV noise — grainy static, SMPTE colour bars flashing "NO SIGNAL." Perfect on a smart TV, a laptop hooked up to the family telly, or any big screen you can leave running.

Press F11 for maximum realism. Tap or press Esc to exit.
Add the prank to their home screen and it runs like a real app — no browser bar, no tabs, no URL, nothing to give it away.

For laughs only. Nothing here installs, downloads or damages anything — it's all harmless CSS/JS in the browser. It's a staple of April Fools' Day pranks and works any day of the year. Just keep it kind — see what makes a good prank.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything wrong with the TV?
No — it's just a fake full-screen animation of TV static and a "no signal" banner. The TV is fine.
What are the colour bars for?
They're SMPTE test bars, the standard "the signal's gone" screen you've seen on TVs your whole life. Ours are decoration only.
I just want a plain black screen for the TV, not the static — where is that?
That's a separate tool — see our plain Black Screen, useful for OLED battery saving and backlight-bleed checks.
